Parlorex ("we", "our") publishes the game Parlorex: Murder Mystery, the mini games The Cleaner, The Red String Board and Whispers and Tea, and the website parlorex.com.
What we collect
Waitlist form (/dossier): email address + submission timestamp. Nothing else.
Parlorex: Murder Mystery: no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting in the current build. If that changes we will update this policy and notify waitlist subscribers.
The mini games keep leaderboards, and a leaderboard needs an account to rank. So they collect:
- An account identifier. On first launch the app creates an anonymous account with Firebase Authentication. It is a random identifier. It is not linked to your phone, your Google account, or anything about you unless you choose to sign in.
- Your finished runs — score, how long the run took, how far you got, how it ended, and how many times you tapped. This is what a leaderboard is made of. We use the tap count and duration to detect impossible scores, and for nothing else.
- A display name, only if you choose one. It is optional and it is the one thing other players see. Without one your scores are still saved; you simply do not appear on any board. You can clear it at any time and stay off the boards while keeping your history.
- An email address, only if you sign in. Signing in exists so your scores survive changing phone. If you never sign in we never have one.
- A friend code and your friends list, if you use friends. A friendship stores only that two accounts are linked.
The mini games contain no advertising, no advertising identifier, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting and no third-party trackers. They do not ask for location, contacts, photos, files or any device permission beyond internet access.
How we use it
- Email from the waitlist is used solely to notify you when the game is released. One email, then we stop unless you opt in to more.
- Mini-game data is used to run the leaderboards, show you your own history, and reject scores that are not possible. Nothing else.
- We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
What other people can see
Only your display name, your scores and your rank, and only if you have chosen a name. Your account identifier is never published — leaderboards carry a truncated one-way hash of it, which is enough for the app to recognise your own row and useless for anything else. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
Storage
Waitlist emails are stored in Cloudflare KV (servers in the US/EU, encrypted at rest). Mini-game accounts and scores are stored in Cloudflare D1 and reached over HTTPS; authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Inbound aliases (contact@, support@, privacy@) are routed via Mailcow on our own infrastructure. We do not send confirmation emails at the moment; you will receive a single launch notification when the game ships, then nothing else.
Your rights
In the mini games you can delete your account yourself, in the app. Open Account & Friends from the menu, then Delete my account. It removes your scores from every leaderboard, your friends list, your friend code and your account, immediately and permanently. There is no waiting period and nothing is kept afterwards.
For anything else — a copy of your data, or deletion of a waitlist entry — email privacy@parlorex.com. We respond within 7 days.
Children
Parlorex: Murder Mystery is rated for ages 17+ (mature themes, alcohol references, mild crime content). The mini games are intended for players aged 13 and over. The website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change.
